Holt’s monthly Sunday market showcases the wares and work of local independent craftspeople, designers, makers, food producers and street food traders, with an extra market scheduled in mid-November.

DALEGATE MARKET POP UP SHOPS

Dalegate Market in Burnham Deepdale will be welcoming local artisans and makers to their four beach hut pop up shops between now and 14 December, select dates – think photography, jewellery, homewares and more. It’s also a great opportunity to browse the site’s permanent shops, from The One Stop Nature Shop and Relish (accessories) to FatFace and The Hare & Hen gallery and craft shop.

NORFOLK CHRISTMAS FAIR

19 (4pm to 8pm) and 20 November (9am to 3pm)

Help raise funds for Thornage Hall, which supports adults with learning disabilities, at this ever-popular fair. It has changed venues this year and is now at the Adrian Flux Bar at Fakenham Racecourse.

Pensthorpe nature reserve embraces the festive spirit at its outdoor market, with Norfolk food and drink producers, craft makers and artisans selling unique wares. Do check out Pensthorpe’s gift shop and the new Courtyard Cafe, too.

NORFOLK CREATIVE ARTS CHRISTMAS POP UP

25 November to 1 December, 10am to 4pm daily

See arts and crafts by local artists and makers, including paintings and prints, jewellery, homeware, food, ceramics and more at this Grimston pop up. Tick off some items on your Christmas list and refuel at the onsite cafe. There’s a late-night opening 27 November from 6pm to 8pm, too.

NORTH WOOTTON VILLAGE HALL CHRISTMAS FAIR

29 November, 10am to 5pm

The village hall will be buzzing with a wide variety of stalls offering Christmas decorations, unique gifts, and locally made food and drink. Freshly cut Christmas trees will be available to purchase, while entertainment throughout the day will be provided by The Jingle Elves and singer Kelly Ann Music. Families can also enjoy meeting Father Christmas’s reindeer, who will be visiting the fair, free of charge. The event will culminate in the switching on of the Christmas lights.

NORTH NORFOLK ARTS & CRAFTS WINTER FAIR

29 and 30 November, 10am to 4pm

Some of Norfolk’s finest artists and makers will be selling their creations at this event in the barn and gardens at Jarrolds in Letheringsett, from soaps and sculpture, to home fragrances and jewellery.

HAPPY VALLEY CHRISTMAS MARKET

4 December, 5pm to 10.30pm

This forever fun market at the woodland glamping retreat in Grimston returns with an evening of shopping (until 9.30pm) and feasting. It couldn’t be more magical, with crackling fire pits, mulled wine and live music.

Around 24 stalls in Cley Village Hall will sell handmade products, from stocking fillers to giftable goodies. Plus there’s a raffle and pop-up cafe with profits from these going towards the upkeep of the village hall.

These markets always offer the very best of Norfolk’s local produce; it’s the chance to buy foodie gifts for the lucky people in your life and treat yourself to some delicious cheese, chocolate or gin! Expect stalls as diverse as Norfolk Doggy Deli, Mayu Retreats (juices, shots and healthier cakes), Hunters Chocolates, Fen Farm Venison and Currylicious. CHRISTMAS MARKET AT HOLKHAM

12 to 14 December, 10am to 4pm

There’ll be over 60 independent artisan stalls in the Lady Elizabeth Wing and outside in festive chalets selling chutneys and cookies to decorations and dog treats. Street food vendors and live music add to the atmosphere.
