NOW UNTIL 30 MAY 2026: MAY THE TOYS BE WITH YOU
Lynn Museum has gone galactic with this showcase of one of the UK’s finest collections of vintage Star Wars toys and original cinema posters, from 1977 to 1985, owned by Matt Fox. The exhibition includes life-size storm troopers, so be on your best behaviour!
First Tuesday of the month: Walking Women
Established more than10 years ago, these gentle monthly walks explore the many landscapes of Holkham. Take in Holkham Beach on 3 March (meet at the Lookout) and Wells Beach on 7 April (meet outside the Beach Café). From 10am, duration 90 minutes.

Every Monday: Blickling Bounders
This weekly, organised dog walk takes place on the Blickling Estate. Meet at the Old School at the top of the main car park on Mondays at 10am.

Mondays: Nelson’s Shantymen
Join in and sing-along with this renowned local shanty group – which raises money for charitable causes – as they rehearse at The Jolly Sailors in Brancaster Staithe, most Mondays from 7pm to 9pm. Alongside traditional sea shanties, their repertoire includes a number of songs celebrating the achievements of Lord Nelson.

Every Friday: Social Walks at Blickling Estate
A new weekly event offering a great opportunity to meet new people. Head to the Estate Barn visitor centre in the main car park for 9.50am where you’ll find a walk leader waiting to take you on a three-walk around the parkland. Enjoy views of the lake and pass landmarks such as the Mausoleum, before heading to the Muddy Boots Café where you can purchase refreshments.

MONTHLY: THEATRE SUNDAYS AT THORNHAM VILLAGE HALL
Enjoy a National Theatre Live Screening at Thornham Village Hall, paired with a two course pre- or post-performance meal at The Orange Tree, just down the road. This monthly event will take place in spring, autumn and winter, with screenings from 4pm. The programme includes The Audience with Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth II on 29 March. Theatre and the meal costs £35, the theatre screening only is £10.
1 to 22 March: Cley. Now and Then. A Watercolour Story
John Hurst’s 20th watercolour exhibition at NWT Cley Marshes celebrates 50 years of art, landscape and local ecology at this iconic reserve, which celebrates its centenary this year. John first visited the area in 1972 as an art student and birdwatcher, composing his early coastal watercolours in the figurative style still evident today. A new collection of original watercolours and fine prints will feature.
As with all his previous exhibitions, John is pleased to pledge a significant percentage commission to the NWT. John’s exhibition Wild Geese and Hollyhocks, also at the reserve, will run from 8 to 21 April.

4 to 28 March: Viewing Room 07
Contemporary and Country hosts small-scale solo and two-person exhibitions featuring new work by emerging and established East Anglian creatives, at Woolmarket House in King’s Lynn. March’s will combine work by landscape painter Melanie Goemans and fen-based willow weaver Danny Sealey; April’s Viewing Room will juxtapose paintings by Mary Blue with ceramics by Caroline Chouler-Tissier. Open select days and by appointment.

5 March, 9 April: Cley Book Group
This book group meets at NWT Cley and Salthouse Marshes roughly every six weeks to discuss a range of fiction and non-fiction books with the themes of nature and the environment. The book for discussion in the March session is Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton and Cuckoo by Nick Davies in April. Book copies available from the shop. Hosted by the volunteer team, enjoy thought-provoking discussions, warm company and Tea or coffee plus cake. 2pm to 4pm.

6 March: And Finally… Phil Collins
This award-winning tribute show to Phil Collins will be at Cromer Pier’s Pavilion Theatre at 7.30pm. Audience’s will be treated to renditions of Collins’ greatest hits, including In The Air Tonight, Another Day In Paradise and Sussudio. Chris O’Connell will be joined by a nine-piece band.
7 March: Floragami paper flower making workshop
Join Meg from Floragami, pictured, for a morning and/or afternoon of papercraft, where you’ll learn how to create potted snowdrops or crocuses from paper. Refreshments and bakes, all materials and pots are included for this workshop in the Education Room at Holkham. No experience necessary but good dexterity is required for the snowdrops as they are small flowers. Open to over 16s.

7 March: The Complete Works of Jane Austen Abridged
Schoolhouse Productions are bringing this 80-minute show to Westacre Theatre for a matinee and evening performance, where three actors will take you through Austen’s entire canon – every hero, heroine and social satire. Suitable for ages 14+.
7 March, 4 April: Creake Abbey Farmers’ Market
This fantastic market takes place on the first Saturday of the month from 9.30am to 1pm (except January). Expect a wide range of stalls from more than 65 local producers and makers, with wares from wine, cakes and bakes, coffee and cheeses, to meats, fruit and veg, chutneys and more. Creake Abbey, near Burnham Market, is also home to a range of lifestyle shops, a café, hair salon and a reformer Pilates studio (check the website for individual opening hours) as well as the Augustinian abbey ruins.

8 March: Easy flower painting
If you like experimenting with painting, professional artist Pauline Bull will be sharing easy quick painting techniques at Little Massingham Manor, in this three-hour workshop which will include some of the techniques of Chinese brush painting, to explore your own style and create your own paintings. 10am to 1pm.
8 March, 12 April: An introduction to the birds of Cley
New to birdwatching and want to learn more about birds? No matter your age, you can join the team for this walk on the reserve and the chance to see the wide variety of species Cley has to offer. (Walk length approximately 2 miles). This is one of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s regular walks at Cley Marshes which also include a mindfulness walk and a walk with the warden.

8 and 22 March, 5 and 19 April: Charity Pub Quiz
The Kings Head in Letheringsett will be supporting charities Nelson’s Journey and Alzheimer’s Research UK at their 2026 Sunday quizzes, held on select dates. Bring a team or join with others and put your general and local knowledge to the test, from 7pm in the bar.
10 March, 14 April: Iron road ramble
Discover the wildlife and explore the range of habitats in some of the less visited areas to the east of NWT Cley and Salthouse Marshes reserve. Walking along the Attenborough Walk you’ll call in at Bishop’s and Babcock Hides before crossing the grazing marshes via the Iron Road to the beach. A 1km hike along the shingle can give views of marine life and maritime plants before we enjoying relaxed views of the birdlife on Arnold’s Marsh and along the East Bank, as you make your way back to the visitor centre. This is one of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s regular walks at Cley Marshes which also include a mindfulness walk and a walk with the warden.

10 to 14 March: Hamlet
The Royal Shakespeare Company returns to Norwich Theatre Royal with a new production of Hamlet directed by Rupert Goold, as part of a major national tour, with Ralph Davis in the title role. There will be a post-show q&a after the 13 March 7pm performance, open to all ticket holders. Nightly at 7pm with matinees on the Thursday and Saturday. 11 March, 8 April: White Horse Holme Supper Club
Head to the cosy Bakery Barn for 7pm at the White Horse in Holme-next-the-Sea for their regular supper club, where head chef Gabe Lea will present a five-course menu (£65) showcasing local ingredients, and there’s an optional Burn Valley Vineyard wine flight (£28). 15 March: Justin Live – Justin Time to Rock
CBeebies’ Justin Fletcher’s new stage show is calling in at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange. Sing, dance and laugh along with the BAFTA Award-winning star of Something Special, Justin’s House, Gigglebiz and Gigglequiz.
When DJ Engelbert, the coolest canine in the doghouse, launches a contest to find the best rock song in all the land, Justin and his band – Justin Time to Rock! – are determined to win. But can they get their song to DJ Engy before the sneaky Rock Lord and his sidekick Vulture try to steal it? Enjoy classic favourites and brand-new songs in this high-energy, feel-good family show, at 11am and 2.30pm.

16 March: Chesney Hawkes
The One and Only Chesney Hawkes is coming to the Waterfront in Norwich as part of his UK ‘Smash It To Pieces’ tour. After over a decade in LA, he’s back with a new album – Living Arrows – with all three of its singles gracing the Radio 2 playlist.
19 March: The West End Tenors
After selling out arenas across Europe, The West End Tenors – who have starred in musicals such as Mamma Mia and The Phantom of the Opera, as well as performing at Windsor Castle for the Royal Family – are coming to Cromer Pier’s Pavilion Theatre as part of their first UK tour, celebrating some of the greatest songs of musical theatre and film. 7.30pm.
19 March: The invention of British art
Art historian Bendor Grosvenor (of the BBC series Britian’s Lost Masterpieces and Fake or Fortune), pictured, will reassess the history and development of British art from 10,000BCE to the 19th century as part of King’s Lynn Festival’s Spring Series. The talk will take place at King’s Lynn Town Hall at 7pm.

20 March: An Evening with Denise Van Outen: Songs, Stories and All that jazz
Join Denise for a night of music, laughter and stories from her career at Cromer Pier’s Pavilion Theatre, from 7.30pm. Expect classic songs, behind-the-scenes stories and more, plus, there’s a pre-show meet and greet with Denise, too.
20 to 22 March: Cromer Music Festival
A new festival promising a weekend celebration of classical music is coming to Cromer Parish Hall, with three concerts by Gemini, an internationally renowned group of musicians. The programmes will be diverse, with music by contemporary composers such as John Hopkins and Nicola LeFanu and composers with East Anglian connections, to works by Beethoven and Peter Maxwell Davies. There will also be two workshops – one in composition for 18s and under, the other for competent saxophonists of any age (grade V or equivalent).

21 March: Fakenham Choral Society’s Spring Concert
Fakenham Choral Societywill perform Louis Vierne’s Messe Solonnelle and Matthew Coleridge’s Requiem from 7pm at Fakenham Parish Church. Booking will open 10 weeks before the event.

21 March: Trio Incendio
This award-winning trio will open the 2026 season of Trunch Concerts with Schubert (Trio no.2 D.929) and Shostakovich (Trio no.2, Op.67). St Botolph’s Church, Trunch, is the venue at 7.30pm. There will be a licensed bar with artisan gins.
22 March: Stories
Associate conductor Daphne Delfas will take up the baton for this Norfolk Symphony Orchestra concert at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange, opening at 3.30pm with Rossini’s William Tell Overture, followed by Grieg’s enchanting Peer Gynt Suite No.1, including Morning Mood. Internationally acclaimed viola soloist Milena Simovic will join the orchestra to perform Berlioz’s Harold in Italy.
26 March, 23 April: Circuit of Cley
This is one of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s regular walks at Cley Marshes which also include a mindfulness walk and a walk with the warden. This is a guided circular route around the reserve and along the shingle ridge, taking in the wildlife and habitats along the way. Walk length approx. 3.5 miles include 1 mile on shingle.

28 March: Simon & Garfunkel Story
Using huge projection photos and original film footage, this international hit show features a full live band performing all the hits from Mrs Robinson and Cecilia, to Homeward Bound and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Cromer Pier’s Pavilion Theatre, 7.30pm.
29 March: Paws on the Pier
As part of its 125th anniversary celebrations, Cromer Pier is again hosting ‘Paws on the Pier’ bringing together dog lovers from across the region for a fun-filled day celebrating our four-legged friends. Browse trade stalls, take part in dog shows, watch demonstrations, and enjoy plenty of treats and goodies (for humans, too!). From 10am.
19 April: The Author’s Hour
Spend an afternoon with prize-winning Palestinian-Italian author Sabrin Hasbun who’ll be discussing her memoir Crossing at Westacre Theatre from 2pm. This sweeping family saga spans continents, generations and identities as Sabrin retraces the extraordinary story of her Palestinian father and Italian Mother. All proceeds support the venue’s Summer Theatre Tent Appeal.
6 May: An afternoon with Paul Martin
The presenter of BBC’s Flog It (who is also head of valuations at premier auctioneers Henry Alridge & Son Ltd) will be at Cromer Pier Pavilion Theatre, with a meet and greet at 1pm where hand-held objects can be valued, followed by a theatre talk at 3pm, where Paul will discuss his career in TV and antiques, plus a q&a session and book signing.

31 May: Cley Wild 100: a young people–led nature day
Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cley Marshes is aiming to spot 100 different species in a single day and need your help! Explore the reserve with youth-led nature walks and get creative with hands-on nature journaling designed with the help of our amazing young volunteers. 10.30am-4pm.
